Shapes Theme🔺◼️🔹⚪️

The Almond children have been showing a lot of intreated in drawing shapes when I give them coloring tools and are always so eager to tell me what shapes they see outside and around the rooms we visit! 

I thought it would be a good idea to do a Shapes Theme for the Almond room, so we can work on identifying shapes and things to make with them as we explore! 

Everyday we will be doing activities to learn about the different kinds of shapes and how to draw them! 

Shape beads on the correct colored string, And shape floor mats

Shape light table 

Provocation table 

Shape sticky matching 

Shape mats and shape pictures

Colorful play dough and shape cookie cutters

Shape magnetic tiles, shape blocks, and shape instruments(triangle, circle tambourine, and oval egg shakers)

Every month my friends get a special visit from Ms. DJ the Librarian!

Today we read some books, reviewed our colors and shapes, did the 5 Little Monkeys Song/Dance and the Hokey Pokey dance with her too!

Today we had a wonderful day today with all the Almond Parents and all our EC friends!! 

It was so nice to see everyone, hope you all enjoyed and learned a little about the holiday!! 

Thank you for joining us!!! 

**If your child made a garden pot, they will be sent home today in a ziplock bag! 

🌳Trees🌳

 1/23/24

Wednesday we made our very our trees and made a Tu’ BiShvat Mural together!

For our tree project we started off with a long brown strip of paper and some brown coloring tools, we colored all over the brown strip! 

Our next step was to get a brown circle paper and to pull apart light/dark green and yellow tissue paper into small pieces and to glue them onto the brown circle to act as leaves on our tree! 

My friends did a great job with this craft and the trees are being displayed in the hallway on the wall!

We also made a Tu’ BiShvat mural together using the different green and pink coloring tools we have around the classroom. My friends each grabbed a coloring tool and we walked about the big long table and added out colors to it creating such a beautiful mural also being displayed on the hallway wall!
