Today we made Gelt!
The word “Gelt” means “money” in both Hebrew and Yiddish. Chocolate gelt are the coins that are typically given to children during Hanukkah.
We also use Gelt to act as the money during the dreidel game!
We really loved doing this activity the Almond kiddos knew exactly what to do and did very well following the multi step direction to make the project all on their own!
Step one: Smush the air dry clay ball into a pancake
