Welcome Almond Friends

Welcome to the Almond Blog! 

Here I will be posting 3x a week of what the Almond class explorations have been around the classroom, playground, or at any of the communal spaces we visit. It’s another way for the parents to see their child’s day to day activities! 

These first couple of days are short days so we have just been letting the Almond kiddos explore their new classroom and outside space! 

They have been doing very well at getting to know each other's names and getting more acclimated around the classroom! 

As we get used to the new classroom, teachers and friends, we as a class sat together the last two days and discussed what we would like to see our Almond friends doing in the classroom to help keep us happy and safe. We jotted down some "classroom guidelines" for us all to follow to keep one another happy and safe throughout our school day... here's what we came up with, we will be learning/following these all year!

We use inside voices

We use listening ears

We use gentle hands

We use walking feet

We clean up our toys/classroom

These images were hung up on the inside of Almond classroom door for all my friends to see if they need reminders throughout the day.
